We love our pets at Pioneer!
The following policies are in place to make the park an enjoyable environment for all of our guests. We kindly ask that you adhere to the following policies.
- Due to insurance restrictions, the following dog breeds (defined by AKC) are not allowed in the park at any time: Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, Dobermans, Rottweilers/Chows, American Bulldogs, and Wolf Hybrids. You must honestly disclose your breed type when making a reservation. Upon arriving, any unauthorized dog will not be allowed into the park. Any pet demonstrating vicious or aggressive behavior or excessive barking will be evicted from the park with no refunds.
- Pets are not allowed in cabins, buildings, swimming pools, pool areas, spa, office or store.
- ALL pets must be on a leash at all times when outside.
- Do not leave pets unattended outside at your site unless you have a dog pen that’s appropriate to the dog's size. You must be in your rig or on your site to do this. No dog is to be left outside overnight! Please be courteous of your neighbors and do not leave the dog in the rig or outside for an extended period of time if it barks when left alone.
- If your pet relieves itself ANYWHERE in the park or on your site, you must pick up the droppings, bag and dispose of them properly. Do not allow your pet to relieve itself on any shrubs, flowerbeds, neighbor’s landscaping, planted area by rec hall, boardwalk, etc.
- You are responsible for the actions of your pet and any damages caused by your pet to our property or the property of others. When necessary, applicable charges will be assessed to cover the expense of
damage repair. - Continued violations of these policies may result in immediate eviction from the park. All pets must be current on all vaccinations and be free of communicable diseases.

On-Site Amenities
Birding Pond
At Pioneer Beach RV Resort, we love local wildlife! Our park features a birding pond to excite your curiosity, and give you plenty of opportunity to get a photo or two. Port Aransas is home to many different bird species. You may find Roseate Spoonbills, Least Grebes, Reddish Egrets, Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks, Bitterns and Rails—to name just a few. We typically have several different types of water fowl in our park, and you never know who might visit next.
Dog Run for Our Furry Guests
We’ve created a special area for our pets to exercise and socialize with other dogs. We call it the dog run, and it’s the perfect spot for you and your furry friend to get in some quality play time. Pioneer Beach RV Resort is designed to be pet-friendly, but we do ask that you make sure to clean up after your dog. For more information, please review our Park Policies PDF.
Rec Hall and Game Room
The Rec Hall is where our community gathers for fun activities, mixers, and events. We plan events throughout the year for our guests to enjoy. In the past we’ve held square dancing lessons, a homecoming dance, and even hosted Thanksgiving at the park. There’s never any shortage of activities to try at Pioneer Beach RV Resort.
Convenience Store
Run out of beer? Need toilet paper? We’ve got you covered with our on-site convenience store, just a few steps away from your rig. You won’t need to drive or leave the park to get here, and it’s another reason we’re one of the best RV parks in South Texas.

Port Aransas has some of the best pristine beachfront on the Gulf of Mexico. Port Aransas allows you to drive on the sand, and has amazing sunset and sunrise views. With mostly sunny skies throughout the year, you’ll see why we consider ourselves to be one of Texas’ best kept secrets. Best of all, your stay at Pioneer Beach RV Resort includes private access through our boardwalk.
The Best Gulf Fishing
The waters surrounding Port Aransas are teeming with trout, redfish, flounder, red snapper, tuna, marlin, shark—and the list goes on. Port Aransas is considered by many locals and tourists to be a fisherman’s paradise. It’s not uncommon for weekend days to be spent by the water with a pole and bait in hand, and it’s one of the reasons Port Aransas is so popular.
Trolley Shuttle
Leave driving for later, as you catch a lift into Port Aransas using the local Trolley Shuttle! It will pick you up near the park and stop a few places on the way into town. It’s a convenient way to see and do more without worrying about parking.
Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center
Easily one of the most popular spots in Port Aransas to view wildlife, the Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center is home to hundreds of different birds.
